Preorder! Orders start shipping the week of October 5th. The only color we have at launch is Ghostfin Redbreast (most popular). These are made out of a super tough Saltwater grade plastic to keep the movement of the tentacles fluid in the water and still make sure the bait is tough.
The Swamp Tick was built for one thing—creating movement when bass don't want to chase anything else.
Its compact center body is surrounded by long, free-moving tentacles that pulse, flare, and quiver with the slightest movement of your rod—or with almost no movement at all.
That makes the Swamp Tick an extremely versatile soft plastic bass bait for pressured fish, clear water, docks, laydowns, grass, points, and anywhere bass have seen just about everything else.
But there was one problem we wanted to solve.
Baits with this much movement can sometimes be too soft to survive multiple fish.
So we went the other direction.
The Swamp Tick is made using the toughest plastic we could find while still allowing the tentacles to move the way they're supposed to. The result is an extremely durable soft plastic that can take abuse without sacrificing the subtle action that makes this bait work.
Every Swamp Tick is also salted, adding weight and helping create a more natural presentation in the water.
And right now, we're launching it in the color that started SwampGhost:
Ghostfin Redbreast.
A striking blue shell loaded with pearl and black flake surrounds a bold red core, creating contrast, depth, and changing color as light moves through the bait.
HOW TO FISH IT
WACKY RIG
One of our favorite ways to fish the Swamp Tick.
Hook it through the center and fish it weightless or lightly weighted. Let the bait fall on slack or semi-slack line and allow the tentacles to do the work. Add a nail weight to increase the sink rate.
Small movements of the rod tip make the entire bait pulse without pulling it very far away from the strike zone.
Excellent around docks, laydowns, submerged timber, grass edges, and shallow cover.
NEKO RIG
Add a small nail weight to one side of the bait and hook it through the center.
The added weight creates a different fall while allowing the Swamp Tick to work vertically with the tentacles constantly moving around the body.
This is an excellent way to fish deeper docks, points, submerged cover, and pressured bass.
DEAD STICK IT
Sometimes the best thing you can do with the Swamp Tick is almost nothing.
Cast it into an area where you believe a bass is holding, let it settle, and leave it alone.
Water movement and tiny movements from your line are enough to keep those tentacles working.
Give it an occasional twitch and let it sit again.
When bass are heavily pressured, don't underestimate how effective doing almost nothing can be.
TWITCH & PAUSE
The Swamp Tick doesn't have to be fished slowly.
Fish it weightless and work it with short twitches of the rod followed by a pause.
Twitch. Twitch. Pause.
The bait pulses and changes direction while the individual tentacles move independently.
Experiment with the length of the pause until the fish tell you what they want.
