SwampGhost Outdoors began with a simple goal: create soft-plastic fishing baits that look different in the water, give anglers more confidence and help generate bites when ordinary colors are being ignored.

In 2026, SwampGhost entered a new chapter when Howard assumed full ownership of the company.

Howard believed in the products, the creativity behind the colors and the potential for SwampGhost to become something much bigger. Rather than treating it as another fishing brand with different names stamped onto familiar colors, he saw an opportunity to build a company around distinctive bait designs, honest testing and a real connection with the anglers using them.

Today, SwampGhost is an independently owned small business focused on producing hand-injected soft plastics with carefully selected colors, flakes, cores and contrasting details.

More Than Another Color Name

SwampGhost baits are designed to give anglers options for different water conditions, forage and fishing pressure.

Some colors are built around natural presentations. Others use contrasting cores, tails, pearls and shifting effects to create a profile bass may not see every day.

Every bait has a purpose. We want to explain where it works, why it was created and how you can fish it—not simply tell you that it catches everything everywhere.

Tested Where It Matters

The real test does not happen in a product photograph. It happens underwater and on the end of a fishing line. That's why each bait on the site, and future ones have to do one job: Catch fish or it doesn't get released Period!

We are continuing to test SwampGhost products, refine our lineup and listen to feedback from the anglers who fish them. Customer catches, honest experiences and real-world results will help shape what SwampGhost becomes next.

For Howard, taking ownership of SwampGhost was not simply a business transaction. It was a personal commitment to the brand, its customers and the belief that these products deserve the opportunity to succeed.
